I love starting my day with great expresso and devistated when my old machine started giving out. I bought this unit without the grinder as I’ve been told that’s the first thing that goes out on these machines, and it’s been absolutley wonderful. Very easy to use. Quality of the expresso is amazing and just as expresso needs to be. I’m buying another one for our other home.
I bought this machine 6 years ago. It is sturdy and dependable. It has never, ever had any problem. It makes perfect espresso and froths milk to perfection. You will not find a better machine.
I read some of the bad reviews on this machine and am very surprised about what people are reporting. We have had this machine for about six months, it works flawlessly, and it produces really good coffee/lattes. We use a burr grinder, set appropriately for espresso grind, and this machine pulls restaurant-quality espresso shots. It takes 45 seconds to heat milk, but any small machine will. It makes good steam and is very easy to clean. I love this machine and we are buying one for friends as a gift. We highly recommend it for the money.
I am surprised by the previous reviews. I bought this machine in November, 5 months ago. I use it daily, several times a day. I make espresso for myself and all sorts of frothy drinks for friends and family who, by the way, come more frequently to have coffee with me since I bought this machine. The pump has worked reliably every time and the frother is excellent, even for a novice like me. The machine pours the espresso with a rich crema and I can prepare it to all the different specs.
When you pack too much coffee or it is too fine, the density prevents the water from pushing through. That might be the issue with previous reviewers and it is easily corrected by adjusting the grind and amount of coffee. No harm done to the machine in experimenting; I messed up a few times before finding out what works for me.
On the down side, it does need to be cleaned frequently and I haven’t found the tablets at William Sonoma, store or online.

This machine is my favorite piece of equipment that i own. This baby will make you one of the best espresso’s that a home espresso machine can make.
I did read the other reviews and my heart go’s out to the person who lost the unit after only 1 year.
I would totally recommend this unit to all the people I love.
